Q2 2024 Carpooling & Ridesharing App Trends on Unified Platforms

Sensor Tower's latest data provides insights into the carpooling and ridesharing apps' performance during the second quarter of 2024. Here we delve into the trends of the top five apps in this competitive market.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a peak in downloads mid-April with 231K, followed by a decline and a resurgence to 159K by the end of June. Weekly active users saw a rise from 170K to 358K, indicating a strong user engagement throughout the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a steady increase in downloads, starting at 67K and ending the quarter at 102K. The app's weekly active users reflected an overall growth, starting at 2.87M and reaching nearly 3.09M by the end of June.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides also showed an upward trend in downloads, starting at 56K and surging to over 101K in the last week of June. The app's weekly active users fluctuated but ended the quarter with a slight increase from 1.54M to 1.63M.

Uber - Request a ride saw its downloads fluctuate between 30K and 40K during the quarter, ending with a high of nearly 40K. Weekly active users for Uber showed a consistent trend, with a low of 1.23M and a high of 1.36M.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash had a more gradual increase in downloads, starting at 27K and peaking at 31K. The app's active users showed consistent growth, with an initial 180K active users growing to over 201K by the quarter's end.
